Plastic timbers are
splinter free, unlike wood,
and they require no expertise or special tools
to do a professional looking job. They're
also easy to move and re-install. Also, plastic timbers contain playground surfacing (like woodchips) in a defined area. The black plastic timbers are all made from 100% recycled plastic. Finally, they create a visually pleasing border to any area.
4-foot long timbers, 12 inches high are available in black and green. Other colors may be special ordered.
The
ends overlap, and the timbers are fastened with 30-inch galvanized spikes. Line the timbers up, drive the spike into the ground using a mallet or sledgehammer, and that's it!

Our plastic timbers are made from hollow polyethylene, with molded-in ribs
for strength. That makes them incredibly durable. These timbers are smooth to the touch but have a slightly pebbled finish, like a basketball. Each timber also has 3 scalloped indentations ("weep holes") on the underside, for better drainage. Each plastic border comes with a 5 year warranty (longer in certain cases -- please ask us). We use these timbers on our company's own commercial playground jobs.
